My husband and I were licensed foster parents for 10 years. During that time, we loved on 9 kiddos and adopted 3!
I will forever be an advocate for more people opening their hearts and homes to children who need love. This is such a huge need everywhere in the US. It is a way we can be the hands and feet of Jesus in our own communities and love on the “orphans and widows” as the Bible commands.
This illustration contains an interwoven heart and triangle that has come to be known as the adoption symbol for both domestic and international adoptions. The Birth Family, the Adoptive Family and the Adoptee each represent one side of the triangle and the heart intertwining each side of the triangle represents the love that is involved in an adoption.
