Hi! I'm Ashley

I am a teal-loving Christian, artist, wife, and adoptive mama to 3 amazing kiddos in Maine. I am also a Complex PTSD and brain injury survivor. Although I did not choose those last two titles, they are very much part of my identity and the reason for my art.

Until 2018, I had a very promising career in web development and design. I was using the creative gifting I was given, but relying on myself and my brain. We joked that my brain was my superpower.

In early 2018, when a brain disease hit and completely upended my life, I had to learn to rely on God, my faith, and His community.

My complex PTSD came back with a vengeance and I had to learn and understand God’s promises and truth. This required a complete rewrite of my mental “GPS”, and much of this mindset work is still ongoing. Biblical affirmations have been an important aspect of my healing journey.

I am now using my creative gift to share these promises and truths with others.

Inspiration

Much of my art is inspired by the stained glass windows in churches around the world. I also enjoy "co-creating with the Holy Spirit" and get much of my inspiration from God.

Techniques

I create fine art with Acrylic paint. I also create digital illustrations using Procreate.
